James River Church in Springfield, Missouri, was founded in 1991 by John and Debbie Lindell. The church began with a small congregation and grew under their leadership, eventually developing into a multi-site church.

I love this Church! I grew up in a big Assembly of God church in Lebanon, Missouri. At one point in my high school journey, I decided that I was going to make my Faith my own instead of my Family’s. My church taught great sound doctrine, but didn’t really use a lot of scripture in their teaching. Sorry, honestly, just took them out their word and never saw where it all came from. One thing I love about this Church has ever since I started coming here. It has been biblically sound, and backed up and proven in front of everybody. The Bible is the root of every message. And every week since the day I started coming here, I have grown in someway. In my knowledge, in my walk and in my Faith. I love the North Campus in particular because it reminds me of Home. Everyone is so kind and they all know each other. And serving on teams, I know that we are always very welcoming to newcomers and invite them in to be a part of the family. I have been faithfully serving this Church in this Campus for around four years now and I can say each year I grow closer with my friends and family at Church and I grow to love it more and more.
James River Church North Campus has been my home church since 2020, and my wife and I love it here! We have everything we need and more as believers to grow in our faith, worship in powerful services, build community, and serve alongside one another. The community here is truly like a family, we have people we can lean on who encourage us in times of need and lift our arms when we need it. If you’re looking for a home church come for a visit! You belong here!
After getting caught in the hail storm in Springfield, my daughter and I ended up at James River Church North Campus overwhelmed and shaken up after a really scary experience. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff and people there. So many kind people came to check on us, talk with us, and help us calm down. They offered us shelter afterward, along with snacks, a change of clothes, and so much compassion and care during a very stressful moment. I unfortunately can’t remember everyone’s names, but every single person we interacted with was incredibly welcoming and kind. The storm itself was terrifying, but we are so grateful for the comfort and support we received afterward. Thank you to everyone at the church who helped my daughter and me feel safe, cared for, and not alone during such a difficult day.

James River Church North Campus is a wonderful place to bring your whole family to church. The presence of the Lord is there, and people are being saved and healed every week. From the time you walk through the doors, you will feel like you are at home, from the parking lot hosts to the auditorium hosts you will feel so welcome. The services are amazing, the worship and the preaching will encourage and strengthen you. This is a place where God is moving for sure!
